Linden Garden Club Flower Show--1 p.m.-5 p.m.  Open to the public free of charge in the Garden Club Building, East Houston Street, one block east of courthouse. Winning arrangements will displayed at City Hall, west side of the square on Saturday, April 26.  Contact Beth Pate, 903.756.7749.

DD’s Saloon--All Day, 106 South Main, Friday Lunch, 11:00 a.m.-until, menu features pinto beans, cowboy beans, cornbread, chili, chili dogs, and desserts. 5K Race (3.1 miles)--Race begins at 8:30 a.m. Begins and ends on the square.  Registration, 7:30 -8:15 a.m. (day of race), or you may pre-register by going to: http://www.lindenwildflowertrails.com, click on the 5K Run link, and download a form. Entry fee: $15.00 until April 22, then $20.00.  All entrants receive one free T-shirt. Age groups:

Wildflower Sunday

Spend the day meandering along the highways and byways between Linden, Hughes Springs, and Avinger to view a dazzling array of some of the finest wildflowers in the state.

Highway 11 between Linden and Hughes Springs, Hwy 155 between Linden and Avinger, and Hwy 49 between Avinger and Hughes Springs plus intersecting farm-to-market roads, county roads, Hwy 8 N, and FM 1841 offer breathtaking vistas of the best nature has to offer.
